MY RAINBOW PLANNING MATERIAL

RAINBOW IS THE WORD OF ORDER TODAY!
Ok, so for starters, before I tell you anything about the classes...we all agree that classes must be planned, right? Thinking of that, and being the colorful bubbly person that I am, I ended up making my own material. For me it works great and has just the colors I wanted. Call me childish if you will but I just LOVE a RAINBOW!

I made myself some beautiful printables with rainbow themes. They all use the same colors, and they´re useful besides being pretty, so here are some pics for you to see, as well as a link at the end where you can find all of these materials ;)

So, here is my rainbow themed calendar. It´s pretty and practicle. I use it for keeping activities from all 3 schools in which I teach condensed. Test dates, due dates, you name it, it´s on this calendar. I use a different colored pen for each school (of course, right?). Calendars are never too much. If you want one for yourself, just click HERE!

Now that you´ve seen the calendar, this is the weekly planner. If you´re a teacher, you know you need one, and if you like the rainbow theme as much as I do this is just perfect! Take a look. Don´t forget the link is HERE!

This is my rainbow theme checklist. As you can see, color is never enough for me, although I did try to make the lines a neutral (trust me, before my final edit, colors were all over the place). This can be used for following homework assignments, attendance, keeping track with to do lists etc etc etc. It´s never too much to mention that all three of these can be used for teaching or personal use, so enjoy. You can download this one HERE.

Last but not least, the only one on this rainbow list that is actually exclusively for teaching. I´m sharing with you my personal lesson plan template, which I believe is pretty complete. If you find there is anything that can be modified or added, please let me know? We´re here to share, right? Fell in love with this? Here´s your solution! CLICK HERE

I have other materials at my teachers pay teachers store, so if you´re interested it´s just a click away. I´ll give you a hand!

Today, I thought I might start by introducing you to my channels. I have a youtube channel and an account on teacherspayteachers.com and also on PINTEREST full of interesting ideas (and some not so interesting), that I´ve been putting together to share with you  :)

HOW I GOT HERE...

Interestingly enough, my profession was not a planned one. I resisted the family tradition (teaching) throughout most of my life. You see, on my mother´s side, all of the woman are bachelors in Early Childhood Education.
Unfortunately in Brazil, it´s not a profession that pays very well, many people are ill prepared for the task and I had my eyes set on being a lawyer. That was until something came up. That something was a job as a receptionist at a bilingual school in Fortaleza, and it was an experience to never forget.
After almost 2 years in the school, I was offered a part as a bookreader at one of the schools external events. I went beyond what I was asked to do actually. All I had to do was read a book, but I submerged in the theme of the book and all of the interdisciplary connections I could see in it. I developed crafts and other educational activities for each reading (each reading had two books), and it was so much fun to see the kids having a blast and actually learning!
Call me a softy, but I fell in love with it. Teaching had bitten and contaminated me. Shortly after that I was offered a teaching position within the same school. Although I am no longer at that school, I recognize all that it did for me.
For giving me my first opportunity and setting me on the track I am today, THANK YOU!!!
